Agreed Valuation

Agreed valuations are available with certain Kit Cars policies where Lancaster Insurance Services sell and the inclusion of this benefit is dependent on a vehicles age, type of insurance you want, where the vehicle is parked and the insurer you choose.

If available purchasing an Agreed Valuation allows you to have your vehicle ‘valued’ by our independent valuers and a certificate of valuation (£) valid for up to 2 years issued to you meaning you know what your pay-out (£) would be for your vehicle in the event of a total loss (less any policy excess) prior to a total loss occurring.

Having an Agreed Valuation in place on your policy based on your vehicles condition and its current value for replacement means if the worst where to happen you can replace your vehicle with another Kit Car in a similar condition and value rather than taking the chance of being paid ‘market value’ for your vehicle. Market value could be considerably less than your vehicle was worth this is because ‘market value’ does not take into account any restoration costs, modifications fitted, provenance and ‘market value’ isn’t specific to your vehicle where an agreed valuation policy is.

Lancaster Insurance Services are partnered with several Kit Car insurers who will allow you to choose your own repairer in the event of accident where your Kit Car needs repairing rather than you needing to use the insurers approved repairer (subject to terms & conditions set by the insurer). This option allows Kit Car owners and enthusiasts to take their vehicles for repair to the garage who maybe built the vehicle for you or to a local garage work on the vehicle regularly so they can carry out the work for you providing you that extra peace of mind if the worst were to occur.
